Confession #26: When it Rains, It Pours
Sow righteousness for yourselves,
reap the fruit of unfailing love,
and break up your unplowed ground;
for it is time to seek the LORD,
until he comes and showers His righteousness on you.
I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing.
I will send down showers in season;
There will be showers of blessing.

It has been raining a lot in my life as well for quite a while. Not the literal kind of rain, but the “life in Haiti can be hard” kind of rain. Every week, it seems, a new storms blows in. Sometimes I am by the window like my kids bracing myself, waiting for it. Other times, however, it hits me out of nowhere and I am left on my knees hoping to survive. Storms in Haiti can be brutal.
I am hopeful, though, that soon these storms will be turning into bright rains of righteousness, that we will soon reap fruit of unfailing love, and that in God’s season His blessings will soon be upon us for withstanding the current season of storms. Again, I am hopeful. As a matter of fact, I believe I see sunshine right around the corner…
